Stress and Anxiety comes in many different forms; you can suffer from hypochondria, which is where you have anxiety over health issues. Anxiety can be a fear of something or a phobia or something you are afraid of. There’s no getting away from it, but anxiety is a part of being human.
We have all suffered from anxiety at one point or another in our lives. It doesn’t matter where you are in the world; anxiety will affect some people more than others and can be caused by a number of different issues.
Anxiety often makes people believe that things are actually worse than they really are; this is particularly prevalent in people who fear the onset of an illness. When people suffer from phobias or fears they are imagining that whatever it is they are fearful of is actually worse than it is in reality. The difference between anxiety and stress is that anxious people tend to feel they are in the state perpetually. If you have a phobia, of say heights or spiders, it is ever-present whereas stress can come and go depending on whether or not you are undergoing tough times at work or in a relationship.
Anxiety can sometimes make you worry that it is causing psychological problems, and you feel a sense of madness may be just around the corner. Some people can be very aware of the causes that trigger their anxiety. It may be that you have suffered an incident of trauma like a stroke, car accident or assault, while others cannot pinpoint exactly why they are suffering from high stress levels.
Anxiety should be looked at by imagining your stress levels are building up during the day. It may be a number of small things that build up to make you feel anxious throughout the day. To reduce these levels of anxiety-causing events you need to do something that will have the opposite effect and try to reduce your anxiety level. Thats where Hypnotherapy comes in.
